The Iceberg Secret Found an interesting article by Joel Spolsky titled as The Iceberg Secret Revealed. Some practical issues in the world of software development and design. We all know that a typical iceberg is ninety percent under the surface of water. Just relate this percentage to a functional software model that has been developed. The remaining ten percent of the iceberg is the visual aspect of the project which is very important for clients to see that there is indeed an iceberg involved. In many cases clients don't care or simply don't know how important the ninety percent actually is if development teams can't offer something visually impressive. In most cases the GUI is the deal which represents the ten percent of the iceberg. This article reveals an interesting relationship between clients, developers and designers. The Iceberg Secret could be very helpful in the process of accomplish fruitful products by optimizing the ten percent. Clients usually don't dive into the deep cold to discover a whole new world. They actually want to see the ninety percent on screen that represents their whole idea.
